Beautiful 1911. Full rail is not my personal preference, but I bet it is a tack driver thanks to weight of bull barrel and rail. Congratulations on a fine acquisition!

Wow that is one slick 1911 and a great choice for an investment piece. I have a full rail springfield operator but it's nothing like that. Let us know how it shoots.

Yes, but still a Springer billboard.

Since he started with new mil-spec full-rail operators, not much you can do with the billboard... If you check out his gallery, he does have some that he added his own logo to, but he did not do that on his latest batch...

I agree, would prefer just his logo or none at all... But that would just add to the cost that much more with a new slide and fitting of it...

It will get shot...but not abused. It will likely end up doing night stand duty...and an occasional carry situation. It has 4 brothers and sisters competing for attention...and the family always seems to be growing...

Ok, Ok...finally got around to taking a couple of pics.

I swapped out the VZ thin grips that came on it for some Wilson Double Diamond full thickness grips. It feels better that way to me.

First pic is the Benchmark with my Wilson Elite Professional. By the groups, you can see I was shooting the Benchmark a little better that day.

Here is a pic closer up of just the Benchmark.
