    Springfield is the oldest gun manufacture. Now if they have their products made over seas is another story.

    Wrong... If you want to read about the history of Springfield Armory, Inc. you need only look to Wikipedia. You will see that the current company has nothing to do with the original government owned armory that was shut down in 1968. All it took was an enterprising marketer to revive the title to use for his new company... He didn't even have to buy the name.

    Yep, plus they import the whole Spartan line which is all Russian made, I think. they also have the 798 (?) series which are Eastern European made Mausers Not bad guns at all, but definately not American made.

    One of their .22 rifles is made outside the US now. I don't remember where.
