I just bought a ruger hawkeye in 6.5 creedmore. Its a older model.I was wondering what your opinion of this rifle as far as accuracy is concerned? I think it has a recall on it,something about a overtravel screw.Notified RUGER and waiting for a call back.Trying to get information about other peoples experience with it.Thanks.

A friends boy bought one. I couldn't believe how much better the trigger was than my old M77MkII. Make sure the barrel is not touching the stock. Had to open up the barrel channel on his. Same as my 77. As the barrel heated, it would start stringing shots upward at an angle from uneven stock pressure. All around great rifles! Accuracy around an inch at 100 yards.
Here is the thing though. Find a load it likes. They can be picky.
