Looks to me like he was making introductions and not looking to shake hands.

I been around the diplomatic corps before, they would never act like that, no matter how much they disliked someone.

You know, whether you like or dislike the guy, he is still the president. If I were him, I would be pi**ed period. Whether a snub politically or personally, it's still not right. By not shaking his hand, they are showing no respect for him or the United States. Providing this is a legit video of course.

Oh and as for the comment of him being OUR president and disrespecting him by not shaking his hand, BS :bs:!! You have to be a natural-born citizen to be president and the position of POTUS is what is to be respected not the man! If it were me I would not shake his hand just to appear polite whether I like him or not, then I would be just the rest of the poloticians, I would let him know I did not like him and he had to earn my respect for him.:patriot:

Ahhh that begins a chuckle to my day :):

Look at the look on his face at 0:06

He's used to being fawned over and he can't stand the fact that these people don't worship hisself.

I watched that video over and over to analyze it. It looks like at the beginning that he was snubbed, but later, looks more like he was introducing the other guy to the reception line. Not sure, but the first hand gesture sure as heck looks like a snub to me! :)

I respect the office of the president, not the man. I would shake his hand (go ahead and knee jerk react all you want, scream that I am a muslim-terrorist-quran reading-liberal-junkie-apologist-etc...), but I would not be happy with the man himself. I did not vote for him. But I am a US citizen and he is the President (despite the moaning and groaning to ensue, we were underrepresented at the polls, I hate the fact too) and if he wants a handshake from me, he will get it.

But the shake will come with the other hand open on his part wanting my wallet to fund yet another bill that I am not comfortable with... :D

This goes hand in hand with my post of Medvedyev disrespecting our President.
I thought he was supposed to garner MORE respect?

I hate to ask this, but are some of them (Russians/Slavs) racist? Seriously. I was just having a conversation this morning with a guy in Rotterdam, NL. He had some Estonians staying with him this last week. And they stared at black people. I asked him if he thought they were just curious or something more there. He said he was not sure, frankly.

Either way, I do not like Obama, but dammit they should shake his friggin hand!

    Mat!

Oh, and why are these videos of camcorder-recorded shots of TVs? Why not digitally captured videos? Is it a means around some youtube policy?

Kinda my point. You don't have to respect the person, but you do have to respect what & who he represents.

    He represents:
    Socialism
    racism
    anti-Constitutional conduct and ideals
usurping an office he is not legally entitled to hold
    voter fraud
spreading anti-Americanism at home and abroad
a threat to the basic ideals of this nation

Sorry. Can't bring myself to respect those. If that creature tried to shake my hand, I'd turn my back in disgust.
