new xds 45 feed issue

Hi guys I just picked up a new xds 45 today and when I got home I shot two mags with it and both times when I installed the mag and pulled back the slide I would get a ftl then after getting it unjamed it would work fine anyone had this problem before?

Are you releasing the slide via the slide lock or pulling it back and releasing? Very good chance if your doing the latter you are riding the slide ever so slightly.

Yeah pulling back and releasing

It can be done but depending on the ammo you may get a FTL. After practice it can be done no problem. Great gun btw!

My friend would have that same thing happen with his XDS 45. ONLY when he sling shot the slide. When releasing from the slide lock the gun would load every time.

Ok this morning I tried a few times using the slide lock and it feeds fine
