Well, I finished a new project. A friend gave me an old Mossberg 22 barrel, bolt and trigger. I had an old stock in the garage and figured I could get it to work. I had to fill under the trigger guard and work the inside to get the action to fit. There were no sights but luckily it was tapped. I ordered a mount and put a 4x40 scope on it. Then I finished it in tiger stripe. One of the best things is I only have about $50 in the whole project. I can't wait to get it sighted in....Whatcha guys think?

My favorite hunt is squirrel. I have more enjoyment thatn any other trip afield. I have several favotire squirrel guns but my best is a T/C contender carbine in 22 match. Been trying a 17 HMR but hed shots only and it makes quite a mess.

That's Badace. Please share your paint application method and supplies. Looks good.
I have a tiger stripe stencil cut out of a heavy folder. I sprayed the entire gun in OD green. Then I laid my stencil on the gun and shot it with tan. I carefully moved the stencil (same pattern as the tan) over about 1/4" and shot it with the black. This is what gave the shadow effect. I was happy with results.

    Nice work!

Despite loving my house and neighborhood, I wish I lived in the middle of the country so I could give the squirrels on my property a lead sandwich. Fat arsed little SOBs know I am hamstrung by the lack of a suitable backstop, otherwise it would be a Mini Mag extravaganza!!!

I wished I could find the stuff to do that. That is good looking piece of equipment. It is something to be proud of. I would take more pictures just in case you get rid of it, you can always look back and see the fine work.

Is this the first basket case you've put together?

Yea, this is the first one I've done. I was alot of fun to put together and it let me experiment with something new. I will probably get a Marlin 60 or a Plinkster next and do another camo job. I'll keep this one and since it's a single shot it makes it kind of unique. I may have become hooked to doing this!!!!!!! I just love my 22's...This is another one I'll bring to the shoot next weekend.....

I'm gonna give this a go with my Model 60. Seems like a cheap and easy way to give it a new life.
