    Very cool Bob!

Is the FoF class scenario-based or more skills-based?

    Thanks, Evan--always improving, always improving!

The FoF/ECQ class will be almost entirely scenario based. It will be the "capstone" class combining and employing all the skills learned in the six classes: Handgun I and II, Personal Protection (inside and outside home) and Tactical Handgun I and II.

We are richly blessed to have Sgt. DeYoung on the team. He is a rare gem!

was considering taking classes, until i found that my holster is prohibited. guess i will train elsewhere.

We would be honored to host you, but I cannot, in good conscience, permit equipment and accessories with designs that compromise safety, as safety is the central theme of everything we teach at Indiana Firearms Training.

After reading this I went and checked out the website. Nice site, but I do have to ask why are you deeming Serpa or similar holsters "Unsafe?" Are you referencing the duty holsters or the off duty holsters?

I am not asking to argue or debate, I just want to know/wondered why?

"Cedartop" posted a truly excellent list of why the Serpa compromises safety, and it is the best reply I can give you.

Read his two posts (third and fourth on the page)

I am referencing all holsters requiring the shooter to press a release button in with the trigger finger ala the Serpa. We teach our valued clients to use firearms safely, correctly, and responsibly. Such a design compromises safety; therefore they are prohibited.

We look forward to serving you in 2013!
