I am glad to find this site. I am an older gent, recently retired, and have to time to play. I've found I really enjoy taking old and "tired" long guns and restoring them to their former new condition as best I can . I've only managed to find a dozen rifles / shotguns so far, but in each one I get better at the job. Rebuilding the mechanisms, refinishing stocks and reblueing barrels... I haven't been a hunter in many years, but in each one I finish, I find art. My greatest find so far is a Remington rolling block 1 1/2....
