New Gun Owner

Hello everyone! First time gun owner, although I've shot them off and on my whole life. I'm a 40 yr old husband and father, and until the last year or two, I've never felt the need to own a gun for protection.(Grew up small town, where we hardly ever closed the windows and doors in the summer much less locked anything.. !!) Anyhow, my feelings have changed(as have my wife's), and I purchased a new Smith & Wesson M&P 9(FS) for myself and a Glock 42 for my wife(me! lol). Waiting on my CC permit, which will hopefully be here any day now. I've shot guns here and there my whole life, but only just recently got real interested. My wife would say 'interested' is an understatement, and she'd probably be right. I have really gotten involved with every aspect of shooting that I can right now, and I find myself spoiling myself with some gun porn in a LGS at least once a week, and I've been going through ammo about as fast as I can buy it. Anyhow, looking forward to participating here in the forums, and fellow Hoosier firearms enthusiasts
