Actually I picked up the M1A Scout Squad a few months ago but I just mounted a new Leatherwood Hi-Lux LER27X32 2x-7x scout scope. The scope was recently recommended on the M-14 forum so I thought I'd try one. Now I need to get out and see how this bad boy shoots and how the scope handles the recoil of the 308.

From what I've seen so far, the clarity and brightness is wonderful all through the zoom range. And the 13" eye relief is perfect for the scout rifles. I lost a tad bit of relief at 7X but a slight adjustment of my head placement solved the problem. From what I'm reading, it is holding up very well to the rifles recoil and the only problem experienced was some nicks from ejected casings hitting the scope when the shooter had it mounted too far back over the bolt.

Of course, the $125 price tag makes it even SWEETER! :)
