I have a couple of S&W revolvers that need serious action work. Single action pull is fine but double action pull is too heavy and very rough. I would like to find someone reliable around the South/Central area that works on Smiths.
If you have even the slightest incling of mechanical ability, you can very likely clean up the action on those Smith's yourself. It is not complicated at all.
Very helpful also. Really seemed to know his stuff, and was free with the information I needed to tell if I needed his help. Another interesting note is that he sleeves barrels on k-frame Smiths. If I only had that Model 19 I saw with the cracked forcing cone way back when...
+1 again for Saltzman. He has worked on several of my guns and will get more in the future. Top notch work, very helpful and reasonable prices. I've seen some of his high end work on Model 29's, VERY nice.
