    Students For Fair Admissions (SFFA), the organization who spearheaded the race-based college admissions lawsuit that culminated last year, is challenging the Naval Academy's race-based policy:

    Notably, Chief Justice John Roberts gave the government a free chance to kick the can down the road for this compared to the college admission cases in the oral arguments for one of the cases

    I'm not sure how this could possibly fail (or why it's still an issue) given the ruling in the Harvard case.
    The opinions seemed very clear about using a protected status (specifically race) as selection criteria.
