There a whole bunch of beautiful places and a lot of great people in that state. And I agree, it's a damned shame they are all sullied by the likes of the Chicago political machine.

I yell and curse at 'her' all the time. Sometimes it's the only conversations I get to have on a days drive. Maybe 'she' is as bored as I am.

I have in-laws that live further N and W from there... As well as family that live almost due north from where your photo was taken.

Just driving out and around the county roads - simply beautiful.

But the real estate costs - even being so far out - are still quite high. I attempted to find "my" house, via Remax.com, and couldn't duplicate it. Everything is quite high out that way - still.

I had Neverlost take me right to the front gate of North Island Submarine base where I was not so cordially greeted by a couple of nice Marines. Seems it wasn't updated and didn't know the road was reconfigured to get me out to Point Loma. Fortunately they could see and hear it telling me to turn where there was no turn.
