I know an older guy who thinks that at some point some bat symbol of sorts will go up and all the brown people owning/working at the kwikie marts will rise up and commit acts of terror.

Old people tend to look through weird colored glasses. (no pun intended)

They may just learn lesson there. Old people don't have all that much to lose but some of them wouldn't give an inch of what they've worked for.

She was, but wanted to be closer to my sisters. We are burned out from taking care of my wife's parents. She was a Hoosier foe 25 years.

Sad that someone living in a suburb of Chicago isn't fighting for their right to protect themselves. So many will dial 911 right after protesting the funding of the police.

And at the same time, here in the more constitution friendly Indiana, my neighbor was discussing how to set up a cross fire zone in the event what that 87 year-old's nightmare comes to pass.

Yet both states are part of the "United States", having a common constitution, yet a different set of values.

I had a druggie ask me what I would do if someone attempted to rob me, and all I had was $1 in my wallet what would I do.
I said I'd put two shots in his chest, and two shots in the area that was supposed to encase a brain.
He said you would kill a person over $1?
I said it's my dollar, and they are forcibly taking what is Mine, and I will defend it.
I said however, if that same person instead of trying to rob me ask for a dollar or a fair amount for food etc, I would kindly give it to them.
He was dumbstruck, and he walked away.

So I'm of that mindset. I worked for it. No one will take it from me without resistance.

I wouldn’t kill someone to protect stuff. But I will do everything I can to stop someone who threatens immediate harm. Since I don’t know the intentions of the mugger, I have to assume they mean me harm.

Indiucky, I'm assuming you know Mr. Vallee was the person Spielberg based the French guy (not sylvian...) on in the Close Encounters movie?
