I just had to share this. All persons acted responsibly, but take note the LEO's were looking for a suspicious/dangerous person and 'honest' people weren't bothered, including the suspicious person.
In Chicago, Boston, NYC. LA. and a few other crappy cities, LEO's could care less about 'intent' and would ignore a robbery to arrest a citizen walking down the street.

"LEO: We received a call when you arrived, shortly after noon, stating there was a man with a gun and we've been looking for you for the last several hours.
ME: That's interesting because I handed my camera to one of your officers an hour ago and asked him to take my picture in front of the mansion, which he did without noticing my gun."

As one of the comments says below the story, either both officers were very unobservant or they really didn't care and weren't looking that hard. I would guess option #2.
