When buying a muzzleloader from someone in another state, is an FFL transfer required? Wasn't sure if those were handled differently than "regular" firearms.

Nope. And you can ship them USPS mail with no additional forms, etc. Just like a regular parcel.

+1. when i got my new frontstuffer (T/C Triumph FTW!!!) i ordered it online and it was sent UPS, waiting on my front step (grr) when i got home that day.

unless if it's a t/c encore then it has to go thru an ffl .

T/C Encore, Knight KP1, CVA Optima Elite require FFL's. Also, you cannot ship muzzleloaders direct to some states such as IL iirc.
