So I just installed a Vickers Tactical (by Tango Down) extended mag release in my Gen 3 Glock 19 and WOW what a difference. I have small hands and the mag release is tiny on the gen 3's so I would have to shift my grip quite a bit in order to hit the release. With the new extended mag release I barely have to move my grip at all.

If you aren't familiar with the vickers tactical ext mag release it is very nicely made. It is extended but doesnt stick WAY out like the glock extended mag release does. Also all the points and edges have been smoothed down so it wont snag on holsters or clothing. If you are looking for a nice extended mag release for your gen 3 glock you might want to check one of these bad boys out.

I have this mag release on my G17 and G19. It's a must have IMHO. I would also buy the Vickers extended slide stop as well, in addition to a grip plug:

I didn't use the Vickers, but I put the extended G34 mag release on all of my Glock pistols. It is definitely a must. The stock, non-extended release almost feels hidden after using one of the extended releases.

The only suggestion I have, and I don't know if the Vickers is already like this, is to take a razor and knock down the square corners. I had a problem with the end of the release digging into my side when I would carry IWB. Knocked the corners down and it made a huge difference.

Yea the vickers comes with the corners and edges smoothed off. And I agree. The stock release it may too small.

I know the Glock extended would sometimes press against the holster and possibly release the mag, since this one looks less agressive, have you noticed that problem?
I had this issue with my Fobus holster, which is why I stopped using it. I now use various IWB (but never had an issue with them to begin with) and a Blackhawk Serpa OWB. I have never had an issue with the Serpa as the design is different and there is no place for the release to hit.

Good to know as I have a Fobus.
