I wear earplugs even on short rides. It's the wind noise that does the damage.

Once you lose your hearing you can't get back.

Yep, I've had tennitus for 20 + years now. To many machine guns and drag pipes as a young man. Riding any of my old Shovels or the newer twin cam I run loud exhausts on them.
Drag Pipes on the old and the twin cam has sorta loud Vance and Hinds on it.
So I wear a right ear foamy, I still want to hear the needed horns and sirens you encounter while riding.
With the Panhead I don't wear any foam so I can hear when needed parts fall off.
So I can turn around and pick them up.

And a few thousand a few months ago in East Coast Sturgis Rally in
Little Orleans, MD.

FWIW I'm a HONDA guy and the HONDA girls are the real HOTTIES!

My wife rides her own bike, has THOUSANDS of mile in her seat. She doesn't ride bitch. She has her own bite!

My adopted daughter is a passenger, loves the ride but does not yet have the tate approved paperwork.

Honda = no fatties

Geez you guys are unreal. Fighting over which brand attracts better looking women. Pretty superficial if you ask me. Howbout just enjoying the ride and telling stories about your adventures on the road. No matter what you ride. (cycles that is) "But..but he started it" ain't gonna cut it either. That argument is for kids.

Oh and plenty of women ride their own Harleys too.

Sorry, it was a pet name we used at the shotgun tavern in Wanamaker I worked at.

Batches of Harley riders would often come in, mostly ordering steaks.

"Get ready. A dozen steak riders out front!"
