Morels soon!

3 of us went out yesterday and found about 40, mostly blacks with a few grey's.

We call those dog peckers. I think they are a diff type of morel, rather than a yellow or grey. They are good eatin

I thought they were dried out. The wife checked them out and said there good. Right now they are soaking so I guess we will see how they taste.

Four more pounds of yellow/whites today in southern vigo. Puts me at eleven pounds and eighteen hours of walking lol.

I wore out the boot leather looking for them today, got about a pound mostly dark ones today. Time to go in search of a proper ribeye steak to have with them tonight while they soak.

I think they are all still under water. In my part of Hendricks Co we've had 13.7 inches of rain in the last 11 days.

Yep, I'm near the state line area and had only found a handful until this morning.

I found another 21 today. Most of them where yellows but I did find a few greys. I found these in Madison County.

I wasn't even looking today and I found one. So then of course I had to look. I looked in four different areas around town (Wayne Co.) and found only the first one. What a tease.

Found 20 yellow sponge today in Madison county, 12 greys in Hancock yesterday. Looks like they are starting hard, not ending. It's been pretty wet here, may account for the late-ish pop.
