I agree that he's surprised me on a number of his positions. I think he makes a good gubernatorial candidate. He can make a much bigger impact as governor. He has experience leading a business, and he isn't an overtly polarizing MAGA type that dems can easily demonize. Although they will undoubtedly try.

He might have come to the same opinion as Ed Pease some years ago that dc just isn't something they want to be involved with. Much of what goes on there needs to be broken up and scattered around the country.
