Merry Christmas!! To ME!!

So, I finally got my Christmas present to myself, my S&W 1911TA!! I finally picked it up off of layaway!!! My goal was to get a 1911 this year, being the 100yr anniversary of JMB's fantastic weapon. And I've wanted a 1911 for a really long time!

^^^^^Can you tell I'm excited?

I picked the S&W because this particular model appealed to me, front and rear checkering, ambi safety, rear slide serrations, night sights and a well done brushed stainless slide and frame with nice black accent. She's got a smooth crisp trigger that falls at about 5lbs. I cant wait to go shoot it and give a range report.

I already had some parts ordered. I got an Ed Brown Maxi-Well Mainspring housing and a set of custom grips from Larry Davidson, very well made. Got my crossbreed to house it, and some Kimber Kim-Pro Tac mags as well...
