A lot of us know someone that made tomorrow's "holiday" necessary.

Gone too soon, but not forgotten.

Gone but Never Forgotten! Slow Hand Salute.

Remembering my uncle Bill today. He was wounded in the battles around the Hurtgen Forest in the fall of 1944 and went AWOL from the hospital to rejoin his unit. In the spring of 1945, he was killed in the battles around the Remagen Bridge. His given name was Joseph Smith, but for a reason nobody can seem to remember, he went by Bill instead. He is buried at the military cemetery in Leige Belgium.

Also, our family is remembering another more distant uncle named Tony Piscitelli. He flew with the 343rd fighter group flying P38s. He died on April 10th 1944 strafing Columeres airfield near Paris and is buried at Epinal in France.

I will never forget. This is your day but I remember you my brothers every day and not one day goes by that I dont remember our fun times and our serious times and I wouldnt have my life today if it wasnt for what you did. I was a dumb kid and you turned me into a dumb Man.
Also I know that heaven now knows what a donkey punch is and that theres deffinately some drinking games going on today up there

Thanks all, cannot let them be forgotten. Chris was a friend. And a better person than I could ever have hoped to be.

This is a very somber day. Many of us carry around friends that are ghosts.
