    Hi,
The glenfield line was made from 1960 to 1983, in 83 Marlin dropped all Glenfields and Just went with the Marlin name. The Marlin model 75 replaced the Glenfield in 1983, so as close as I can get, it could have been made any time inbetween 1960 to 1983. as far as using it for hunting, just go out and shoot it, if it's reliable, it will be a good hunting rifle. marlins and glenfields are well known for being accurate. just put it on paper and see where it shoots.

I am rebuilding one fo those now for my aunt. my uncle was working on it when he died.

I need to find a barrel band and a rear sight for mine. It shoots great.
