This one has me scratching my head ..... The rifle is just an ordinary 1975 336 in 30-30. Condition is very good condition and MAY be unfired. It looks like some safe nicks here and there. No box and papers the collectors like either. I get it the "JM" stamped rifles are gone forever and Remington and now Ruger took over the Marlin brand but this is nuts. I am an accumulator not a collectors this gun has me rethinking the true security of my gun safe.

If anyone knows the reason why this rifle sold so high I would like to know. There were several bidders near the end of the auction too.

It takes at least two people to make an auction. I wouldn't know that many people who all had this gun as their 'Holy Grail". Something is amiss...
