Gots me a membership now too! I think that the safety briefing and tour was an unspoken initiation, making us stand out in the cold. :D

I didn't talk to anyone, should have though. I said hi to VUPDBlue, but only because I recognized him and his INGO jacket.

Here's a question to any MCF&G board member who might wander into this thread...

On my card, it lists my name as my first name which is the name that all official happenings use. Can I take a sharpie and write my middle, regularly used, name, above it? Or will that be a problem?

It's not immensely important, but I know people will glance at nametags or badges to learn someone's name. I'd rather them get the correct name first than seem like a dick by correcting them.

Got mine last night too, I saw Hickman from a distance, I saw one INGO Tactical hat,,, I'm never sure who is or isn't INGO at these gatherings.

I have met VUPDBLU in the past so I recognize him....

You only need to attend the initial meeting, so that we can go over the safety rules with you.

Since I work most evenings, I've been unable to get to one of the Tuesday evening events to renew my membership. I had planned on doing that at key day, but I just found out that I've got major dental surgery on April 1. I'm not sure I'm going to be in any shape to get over there on the 3rd. Are there any alternatives? I'd hate to go past the 'grace period,' not be able to get in, plus have to pay the 'initiation' fee again.

If you are renewing your membership, you can just mail in your your money, renewal form, and a self addressed stamped envelope so that we can return your new key.
