OUTRAGEOUS! Local school board in Maryland refuses to answer any hard substantive questions about Common Core, and when a parent objects and starts questioning them, is forcibly removed by a security guard, then is charged with 2nd degree assault of a police officer, which when you watch the video he never did (if anything he was the one being assaulted).

When stuff like this happens, people in the audience need to stand up, and block the exits. Take no offensive action, but just block the person from being removed.

There are serious issues with Common Core. It promotes a left-wing liberal agenda. This is yet another case of speaking up against the Leviathan and being silenced. Welcome to Ameritopia.

When stuff like this happens, people need to wake up and realize that whatever it is the government is selling isn't good for us. Ask yourself why the government would resort to the use of force for a freakin' educational standard.

Unfortunately the parents who care enough to stand up against the JBTs arent there... they are already homeschooling. My wife and I are on the precipice, staring down at the void. One more step and we are clear of these damned liberal indoctrination stations. Too bad most curriculums we are looking at are overly Jesus-y. :( While we are Christians, the injection of biblical stuff into EVERY single aspect of the lesson is a bit excessive. But I digress...

Im suddenly feeling the urge to mutter the cliche` "Who is John Gault." :D

Too bad you don't have a homeschooling veteran in your neighborhood. *cough cough*

Holy moly, that is just wrong on soooo many levels.
So, I'm guessing this is now on his record?

Small, 46, asked him if he was an officer and the security guard, an off-duty Baltimore County police officer, showed him a badge. The officer grabbed Small’s arm and pulled him toward the aisle. The audience gasped and some people sitting nearby got out of their seats.
As he was being taken out, Small said, “Don’t stand for this. You are sitting here like cattle.” Then he said, “Is this America?”

Interesting to ponder if people had blocked the officer from taking Small out. Or on the other hand...

+1 for this thread! Hitting close to home for me.
When history classically had us educating our own children, it makes sense as the parents would feel that they should question the usefulness and the validity of their a school's agenda for it's students.... As well they should.
    As previously mentioned...
    Too bad most curriculums
suck. And I believe that this is done on purpose..

It gets worse... Would you want your 10th grader reading stuff like this as a school reading assignment?

“Hugo and Felicia stripped in their room, dissolving easily into one another, and made love against the whitewashed walls. Hugo bit Felicia’s breast and left purplish bands of bruises on her upper thighs. He knelt before her in the tub and massaged black Spanish soap between her legs. He entered her repeatedly from behind.

    Me either.

Every parent in the audience should have got up and left immediately, the next day they should have pulled their children from this school.

We see it more and more. It's all about indoctrination and control. Argue it if you want, jump up and down if you want, but you're not being honest if you say it isn't increasing. Our nation is being taught to be submissive to the government that is continually taking away our freedom a little at a time. It is happening faster and faster. It is not slowing down. There is no turning back and they will not give up the ground they have taken. Some of us still fight, but they have done so well at indoctrinating our children that their numbers are gaining over ours. It seems that good is becoming bad and bad is becoming good, just like what's written in the Book.

Obama said we need a force equal to our military to achieve the security objectives they've set. Some folks wondered who the enemy could be that would require such a force to control. They have made it clear who their enemy is; Evangelical Christians are #1 on the DHS terrorist watch list and several government agencies targeted the Tea Party groups and their supporters. Conservatives are being silenced, like the guy in the OP's link, and being made to look like radicals and criminals. This indoctrination is not going to end well for us...

    Wow! This is outrageous.

What a transparent tactic this board is using. This makes filtering out the questions/concerns you don't want to have to address much, much easier.

Now. If the other parents had stood up and blocked the officer from removing Small. What then?

    Sheep is right.

And at the point Small 'resisted' the Offizier had not yet produced his badge of authority, if I read the article correctly.

This is interesting, so was this security guard an off duty cop hence trying to tin the guy? If so glad to see he's a nice lapdog for the school board. This is why cops shouldn't be allowed to take off duty jobs as "security". Either you're a security guard or a cop but not both. If he was just a security guard then he can do the bidding of the board, if he's a cop then that changes things as the guy was not doing anything against the law, and if the guy had any integrity at all should have told the board that. But when it suits them now he's charged with assaulting a cop who was wearing a security guard uniform. It looked like there was the same amount of "assaulting" going on between both of them. At least they set an example of the guy with the complicity of the police to keep these rabble rousers away next time. Win for the school board, criminal record for the citizen.
