M1 Garand

Here is the ole M1 Garand. Shoots great. Ive had a group less than an inch at 100 yards with open sights off of sand bags. It was a CMP rifle from the Dutch Navy.

I saw the sight cover marked from the Dutch, does it still have US walnut? Any cartouches ?

I believe the stock is walnut and I haven't seen any other markings other than the standard U.S. markings.

My Dutch Garand is a 43 Springfield with beech wood.

She's a beauty! I have a few CMP rifles and love them all!

It is a Danish rifle by your certificate. It should be a good shooter.

I am not sure why you think it is from Holland.

Mike Gingher was solely responsible for the Danish rifles coming back. They put up a plaque in his honor at Camp Perry last week for his work in getting the Danish M1's back to the CMP for sale.
