I would be in depending on date. Heck, I could bring my 1911 in for new front sights. The old night sights are dead.
I will keep watching for a possible date now that I know where Avon is.
Having said that I learned a lot from this book if you can find one. Can't believe what people are asking for one. Doubt I paid $25 way back when.

I picked up a Colt Defender .45 that is in excellent shape externally, but it’s clear it had been carried daily (lint everywhere around the slide stop, thumb safety, and in the magazine well).

No idea as to the round count, but the extractor area of the pistol looks mint. Anyway, I’m hoping to connect with someone who is a bit of an expert in taking down, examining, and cleaning 1911s. Thanks in advance. I’m happy to pay whatever is considered a fair price for the service.
Do you still want some help? Or have you already got everything figured out?

Might be worth calling ZR Tactical over in Noblesville. Probably about a 10 min drive from Westfield

I know this us a older thread, but I just signed up and if you ever do another class I would be interested. Thanks
    I'm good with that.
Would there be any interest in me doing a saturday of 1911 complete disassemble and going over some of the basics similar to what I have done in the past?
