I had a Surefire E2D LED Defender I need to replace but don't want to spend $250 for another Surefire E2D. I want a light about the same size: Bezel Diameter 1.125", Length 5.6" long. Would like the body gig enough to take an 18650 battery. The E2D body had to be honed to let the 18650 fit. It will be an EDC in my pocket. Would like a switch on the end of the tube. I think my LED was 300 Lumen high and 5 Lumen low..

I love my olight baton pro. USB rechargeable, multiple brightness levels and a superb warranty and customer service. Carried daily for the past 3 years. Have no hesitation recommending them at all.

You might want to try the Fenix PD35. I have been carrying various Fenix lights for years and it is all I buy. It looks like the newest version of the PD35 starts shipping tomorrow. It has 5 - 1700 lumen output and the specs you are looking for. It also comes with a battery. Newmember2023 promo code will get the price down to $63.96 on the fenixlighting.com site.

I have a Streamlight Strion that I have carried every day for over 6 years ........
It seems to fit your requirements .......( 3 modes + strobe ) 615,320 and 160 lumens . Has the tail piece off/on switch . Similar size ....
The 18650 batteries do fit it , but I have never switched the factory one that came with it .
About $140 ..... and you can add an additional battery if desired to have one on standby .

I'm a pretty big fan of the Streamlight Protac HL-X. I have three of them now and use them all the time (well, not so much now that I switched to day shift). I really like the throw vs spill and at 1000 lumens and 27K candela, it's a bright light. It takes CR123s or 18650s and is a lot less expensive than the Surefire, Cloud Defensive, or Modlite alternatives (even though I do want a Cloud someday).

Looking in a flea market, wife wanted to, and found a SOLARFORCE L2 flashlight. It had a $2 price tag. Anyone know anything about them? No information on the internet that I can find, just a little larger than the SureFire E2D that went through the bushhog.

Cloud Defense has a full size and compact MCH on clearance for $164.99. And the newer dual fuel lights for 239.99. My surefire edc light was replaced by the newer dual fuel MCH.

For EDC if you can go a little smaller - check out the Macro Steam from Streamlight. 500 lumens, decent throw for a smaller bezel and rechargeable. For $45-60 it’s worth a look. I have ran mainly surfires of similar size to the ED2, but now find this as my go to…

This guy recently replaced my old Fenix UC35 for my primary EDC light.

    It was a Rhino recommendation.
