I saw Rob Pincus using these on a recent episode of SWAT Magazine TV. I thought they were pretty interesting. It seems like an excellent alternative to pretty much all the other laser options. What say you?

    Pros:

    1. Lets you use normal holsters.
    2. In line with barrel.
    3. Easy to get to battery.

    Cons:

    1. Gonna get battered there on the slide.
    2. Gonna hold zero?
    3. Makes rear sight look Mickey Mouse odd (could easily get used to it).
    4. When you use an overhand racking of the slide, will it hurt the laser?

    Interesting...

    .

Plus, you're forced to go with a Glock OEM-style white notch rear sight pattern, which is "meh" at best.

We've had a few of these units come through the shop. LaserLyte makes cheap (in every sense of the word) laser systems; I have yet to see one I'd bet my life on, and these are no exception.

Looked at one today mounted on a new G27, looked flimsy to me. Couldn't even tell how it looked as it was pointed at the front blade. Don't know if it got bumped or they just didn't set it up right. I wouldn't give up my night sights for it.
