Here’s a dandy OTF. Probably the best I’ve seen since my brothers brought some home from the usmc in 1969 that had to be pushed back in by pushing the blade in against a board. Not mine and don’t believe there are any on the market and will be a stupid amount if they were.

At the price point I don't expect much from it, but could be useful.

I read its supposed to be the Chinese equivalent to the Japanese AUS-8.

If someone could make something like this with decent steel I think it would sell.
If it had better steel I'd be interested in one myself, and giving them out for gifts.

The 8cr stuff isn’t horrible. I don’t think a knife of that design would be used enough to warrant something high-end. It’s a cool idea as an emergency blade.

Received today from the Buck custom shop. I would call it more "personalized" than custom, basically chose the colors and engraving. I'm not a knife enthusiast or collector, carry one every day and wanted something a little nicer without sinking the equivalent of a house payment into it.

Picked up a couple of old German vets at the Rochester show Saturday.
They both needed a good sharpening along with some nick removal. One of them still had wood chips in the saw blade.
