3 years ago i posted a question asking if anybody knew of a QUALITY BLUER in Indiana for a gun that i was going to have engraved. The response was a typical internet garbage ,paint finish ,epoxies , parkerise, the only bluer finally recommended was Turnbull, after a rant by me pointing out i wanted blue and local ,and a slap on the wrist by the forum mods.which I deserved. Well it is complete now ,took the better part of 3 years .
1st off to be polished by Classic Guns in Crete IL 30 min from home Then to the engraver Terry Miller in Howe In. Then back to Classic Guns for a carbona blue.In the mean time I made a set os Ivory grips and found a Scrimshaw artist Cathy Grandalski from Il. to do a design on the ivory grips. Here is my 1903 colt model -M
in 32 Cal.The wait was well worth getting what i wanted. Please when someone asks for advise read the post to understand what they want ,and then stay on topic. As Thumpers mom said if you don't have anything nice to say
