Fat Dan's in Broad Ripple, he moved recently to 54th & College from Broad Ripple Ave. more seating, room and everything else. Dan's a good guy from da nort side and had some good anti-establishment propaganda in the old location. It's a good beef with good gardinaira, the fries are sliced up potato in all kinds of random shapes and seasoned up nice. The burgers are good and he has Vienna beef dogs and Old Style, along with other local fav's from Triton and Sun King. Plus it's next to 20 Tap if you want some other good 'not your run of the mill' beers

And Portillo's like all the other beef stands in chi town, you get the big beef dipped and sit down with about 50 napkins. My parents still live on the south side and I could go home for a week and eat beef sammiches for lunch and dinner at a different place for ever meal and each one would be as good as the next :)

    pepino's tops pop's

only authentic if it has about quart of juice per slice of bread.
That's why I prefer Pepinos. Pop's seems a bit on the dry side plus I think Pepinos beef tastes better. That's just my opinion though.

I used to get Pop's because it was close by but since I've discovered Pepinos I haven't been back.
