I voted tactical but I think a butter knife would suit me better. Hopefully with a butter knife I would not cut myself as often. :D

I carry a Wilson cop tool and or a Strider WP everyday and think they are about the size for everyday carry and use.

Large Bowie, in the tradition of All American short sword Bowie. 12"-14" blade.

Been looking for one for some time, a quality blade.

Everything else is filled with a Spyderco Clipit, a fillet knife, and a Cold Steel Master Hunter.

I need something that I can use to keep a distance from an attacker, and have it be heavy enough that a strike from the back or flat would be harmful, but not fatal.

i have been itching to make a Cleaver!:rockwoot:

A 10+ Inch blade, 8 inch Handle Tactical Cleaver with an 3/4th inch thick spine, complete with an easy access Kydex sheath? Why that sounds perfect! It would need a handy Hole in the corner though for the classic cartoon look.

Can't wait to see it! ;)

    Okay, maybe I'm daydreaming again.

Why can't you pick more than one?

I voted specialized, because that's what you made for me :D

But for daily carry, I'm still looking for that tadpole with the curved grind. probably something in the small to "tactical" range.

By the way, the pikals are definately super stabby.

I would like something similar to Bear Gryll's knife but for well under the $550. USD. they ask for his signature model..:n00b:

I especially like the horizontal sheath for a knife this size....

The most useful knife pattern ever is a 3.5-4.5 inch drop point like Bob Loveless made popular. It's not cool or "tactical," but it's a very useful tool,

My "neck knife" is a Kershaw Outcast. :D

yeah, the bear grylls knife is a joke.

as far as a "fighting" knife........ i'm not to keen on the whole "less lethal" type knife work stuff....... sorta like trying to "shoot someone a little bit"......... if you have cause to draw a knife to defend yourself, and are within distance of the threat to touch, you should probly be putting the knife through the BGs spine... from the front.

too quote one of my great PALS, who is also a knifemaker and what political correctness won't let me call him "a mercinary":

"a knife fight doesn't exsist. i have never heard of two men meeting in the middle of town to "duel it out" with knives. it just doesn't happen like that."

    KUKURI ALL THE WAY :rockwoot:

    Kurkuri for me as well.
:rockwoot:Rep coming at you guys! My latest is just the $20 Cold Steel Kukri (how they spell it) Machete. It's not as thick as a normal Kukuri, but can withstand a lot despite being so cheap: ColdSteelKukriMacheteDestructionTest

I've had one ever since my Grandpa gave me it when i was a kid. My favorite smaller fixed knife.
