    I don't want no pitty party and don't have time for feeling sorry for myself..........but if you are a praying type of person, how about some prayers to lift the family spirits tomorrow. This will be the first time we celebrate my daughters birthday in heaven, and this aint gonna be easy.

    Brother I feel you on this one.
    My son passed on “My” B-day. It has been his day ever since.
    Yep. I got news of Grandma's passing during the invocation while listening to the 500. I cried on my wife's shoulder as I listened to Taps and Back Home Again. That was 2008 and to this day that part of the festivities are still very emotional.

    And of course thanks to her and dad always trying to one-up the other, he chose to pass from cancer the following year in the predawn hours of July 4. We all cant help but laugh about that irony. Independence day too is rather bittersweet.

    Your family will be in our prayers as well Randy.
