As an alternative to my first attempt...
    • $1500 for a S&W 500 revolver w/ 8.5in barrel and $50 for a 20rd box of 440gr ammo
    • $1150 for a PTR91, $200 for 25x 20rd mags, and $450 for a 500rd case of Lake City 308 tracers to fill the mags
    • $1000 for a Std Mfg DP12 shotgun, and $150 for 4x 5rd boxes of 12ga Dragons Breath
No need for weapon lights or optics, because the first noise I hear I'm emptying the revolver and all 25 mags of 308 tracers through the bedroom wall toward the kitchen and living room. Half the house is on fire and everyone is completely deaf as I come out to look for survivors. If anyone moves, I empty 16 shells of dragons breath in their direction and ensure that no one leaves my house with any of my stuff.

    Edit: In Minecraft, of course.

45 acp pistols strategically located around home. (Typically sig or 1911)
Ar-15s in 300 Blackout strategically located around home. (Loaded magazines in mass quantities.)
If I am in need of more than this, I am in BIG TROUBLE!

    Not far from the tree
9mm CZ 75, pre B, 16" custom AR15, 5.56 built on a Std Mfg matched upper and lower, KSG SHOTGUN that holds 12 slugs in one tube and 12 00 buck in the other with a round of buck in the chamber, a plate carrier with AR500 plates because bullets go both ways in a gun fight.

More specifics on the long guns? That's the hard part.
Ideally short barrel AR, 10.5"-12". Something easy to maneuver. AR pistol would be ideal (hoping the ATF mandate will be stopped). Maybe add some level 3A or level 4 body armor to your list. I'm carrying a Sig P320/.357 Sig and have a KSG for the heavy lifting. A 16" barrel AR for property defense (varmints etc). My setup (pictured below) exceeds your budget but I've taken a few years to get it all acquired.

Since the OP requested a fight and no one else is trying very hard... ;)

    1. Full size Beretta PX4 with a light- one of the most reliable pistols ever made.
    2. Tavor X95 with a can, light and red dot- I want a short compact weapon without blinding and deafening myself and without sacrificing terminal ballistics.
    3. The Patrol/1301 would be a great choice but sticking with the short/compact theme, I'd go with a TS12 with 2 tubes of buck and one with slugs. I add a light and red dot as well. If I needed to cut the budget a bit I'd go with a 1300 Defender.

Bonus: a Glock to use as a rock and a POS 870 to use as a club if less lethal means are called for.
