For the love of all that is is holy, I cannot send email from my Viewsonic G Tablet logged into my work account from home. I have the same problem with my work laptop...

I use AT&T DSL and cannot figure out how to configure my "send" settings. The setting I use at work (I connect wirelessly at work to the network and email/internet) don't work on my home AT&T DSL. The settings work fine at hotels (three so far), but not at home.

I've googled the :poop: out of this and tried the few setting I could find.

Anyone here know how I can fix this?

From a quick search it appears AT&T DSL does some weird things with the outgoing mail servers. Give me a few more mintues and I might have an answer for you.

SMTP outgoing mail server? - AT&T Community

    https://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB401573&cv=102&ct=9000818#fbid=jZ2KpyIdgHn

These settings are required for the outgoing server with AT&T.
    Outgoing Server

    • Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
    • Use same settings as my incoming mail server
    • The Incoming server (POP3) should be 995. This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
    • The Outgoing server (SMTP) should be 465. Use the following type of encrypted connection should be set to SSL.

Also, what kind of email address are you trying to use? For example ...@yahoo.com ....gmail.com ....email.com, etc.

To use an outbound mail server other than AT&T's mail server, you need to have them remove the port 25 block. Call tech support and ask them to remove the outbound port 25 block for your account.

    Well, thanks for the info.

I've tried everything except the port block.
I hate calling ATT. Worse customer service EVER!
