It’s hard to figure this all out from several states away.
So far, the plan is to finalize the job, then probably rent a house for a year — take long drives to different parts, and get a better picture of each area.

I get the sentiment — my current county of residence is being ruined by m0r0ns who are escaping the problems of their own doing, but once they arrive to our nice part, they want to “fix” it by forcing their policies on the local “backward yokels”.
Don’t worry, there’s no “blue” stuff left — more libertarian if anything.
