A friend and I are looking to go down to the HNF this weekend for some camping. Its a two-plus hour drive, so we have not properly scouted a good site. I have found some places that look good on OnX Maps, but wanted to check with INGO before heading down.

The campsite should be relatively close to vehicle access, as we have relatively heavy gear and a small wood stove. We usually do canoe camping, so have not invested in much lightweight stuff. Access to water would be nice, otherwise we will have to pack that in as well.

If you would be willing to share some coordinates, that would be super appreciated.

Here is a place I’ve camped multiple times...nice quiet spot right on the water.
Paste these numbers into google maps and it should take you there. A 4WD should get you there on an old road.

She's a little washed out today. Pic doesn't show it, but the old road drops off about 18" right there at the top. I'm too much of a weenie to try it in an explorer. It was a cool spot though!

We ended up just off a gravel road south of there for tonight, might look for a new spot tomorrow

Scouted around and found a ton of sites today. Ended up just staying on the same ridge we found the night before, but put a bunch more points in OnX for future reference. 20210101_161121.jpg 20210102_094349.jpg 20210102_100043.jpg
