31 decomposing bodies found at a Jeffersonville funeral parlor, funeral operator apparently fell behind in his work. Neighbors notified police when they started smelling death.

Side note: that building used to be a really nice reception hall. Me and my ex wife had our wedding reception there!

Wow, I've been to a few receptions in that building. I think it was called The Serrot Club or something like that. I didn't know it was now being used as a funeral home.

I had never heard of the place, I googled their website and it was, as expected, not very thorough. Oddly enough, looking at their obituaries page, a lot of the deceased were from Kentucky. I don’t really know what to make of that.

Yeah, I've never heard of that funeral home and I grew up in Jeff and have lived in Clark County my entire life. My brother currently lives less than a mile from it. It all seems pretty strange.

You would think the family’s would be asking questions as to where their loved one was so they could have the funeral for them .
Whats more odd to me , that they have just been laying around and No one asking about them.
    Strange !

That’s what really got me wondering just what kind of place this was. I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a funeral home that specializes in homeless clients? It sure seems like somebody would have been kicking the door down asking questions. One article I read said some of the bodies had been there since March!!!!

You would think if is a place for homeless then it would just be a simple cremation or just a crematorium !?
    The cheapest way possible.

I've appraised at least a couple dozen funeral homes over the years and never saw one with any significant refrigerated storage capacity. Like at most a restaurant sized walk in cooler. I can only imagine what it must have been like inside.
