Hey guys and gals, looking for info on this .38 Bodyguard. Inherited as part of uncle's estate, did a bunch of research and can't determine the exact model and/or value.

Yes, I know it's a .38 Bodyguard. But no +p, and has a bobbed hammer. Most I've seen are enclosed, and silver finish. No stamp or logo on cylinder release side. No lock.

Tried looking up the "Special Order" number, and nothing.

    Thanks for any info!

Well the model is on the label, S&W Md 38 Bodyguard, chambered in .38 Spl. It may be confusing but the model number and caliber are coincidentally the same. As actaeon said, the dash number should be under the cylinder arm when opened. It is a modern S&W so +p ammo is fine, just don't shoot a ton of it. Also, the hammer is shrouded, not bobbed.
