My trusty Smith and Wesson spring assist of the last 5 years has finally bit the dust on me. So the hunt for a new EDC has begun. I am wanting to get something that just won't die, and if it does, I'd like a good warranty to back it up. I have been looking at Kershaws. The basics of what I want are made in the USA, and be spring assist. I do really enjoy S30V steel. The Kershaw S30V has really caught my eye, and I am going to go look around for one tomorrow to see how it feels in my hand. My Smith and Wesson had a flipper on the back side of the grip, so it was super easy to deploy with one hand. I was watching videos of the Blue, and they were using the thumb stud to deploy the blade. Can anyone with a blur tell me if it is easy to deploy? Also, what other knives should I be looking at? Never been to crazy about the look of Spyderco. I do not want to spend over $100.
