Well, the holidays are over, Christmas decorations are taken down and put away and the CFB Playoff Championship is set, so it's that time of year when one at a time the gun safes get emptied, guns wiped down, and they get reorganized for another year.

It is also time to get updated pics of groupings that have had editions to them over the past year.

Today it was the safe with my M1's & other U.S. sniper rifles

I just picked up an all original International Harvester M1. LMR barrel and all from '53.

It is a good thing I shoot left handed or I would be forced to pony up and snag one of those scoped models. Meanwhile I will just play in the shallow end of the pool.

Time to drain the slobber out of my keyboard again...

Niiccceee! Interesting the difference in cheek pieces between the two. Are those interchangeable to allow for some degree of fitting to the soldier?
Probably not, the bottom one is a Fazakerley No4Mk1 converted to a "T" by Enfield before production was shifted to H&H. This rifle has had a hard life and appears to have spent some time in service with the Indian Army as denoted by the "GF ("Gujarat Forces-India State forces") stamped on the scope mount. The other one is a 45 BSA is one of the H&H conversions numbers matching rifle with a mis matched scope& mount though the transit case is matched with the SN tag still affixed to it 5.png 24.png

Yup, it is time to take them all out of the safe one by one and do a full blown cleaning and lubrication on each weapon. A real chore but I love the smell of Hoppes No. 9 in the evening. LOL!
