anyone ever used black plastic to resemble water?

ive heard of it being done in snowing fields and on iced over ponds but never tried it myself. planning on tricking some birds?

i would love to try it. We have plenty of birds at the other end of the lake. They do fly near when leaving to feed and then again upon return. Seems if they saw water and other birds (decoys) they would come. I just dont do enough goose or duck hunting to know.
