Checking out guns at Gander Mountain is a good way to see what the high end for the particular guns is. I go in occasionally and walk out mumbling to myself after seeing their prices.

What!?!?!?!? You bought a gun online instead of at Gander and didn't make a thread about it? How is this so?

I don't get why it's apparently so difficult for INGOers to just buy a gun wherever it's cheapest and go about their business.

People here love to slam gander but not other LGS's on here that sport the high prices and love to say shopping online is bad… Won't deal with any of em unless I feel it is a DEAL, and I know deals...

Yep. A store does not inherently deserve your business simply because it's local. They have to earn your business through low prices, good service, selection, or a combination of them all.

I don't care about the lowest prices. If I can get the gun I want for say 25 or more at a place that I prefer I'd do that. There are only a select few stores I deal with do to having issues at some lgs. Bought a gun at bradis a week or 2 ago for 10 dollars more then I could of, but the othe place was rude to me once so they don't get my money.

Rural King is actually getting respectable now and actually I've seen a Ruger AR for a little over than 800 and a Ruger 1911 for 630. Gander patrons need to go to a LGS or maybe Rural King.

You're right. I haven't seen a Gander thread on INGO to warn people yet. :rolleyes:Posting a Gander Mountain thread to warn people of their prices is like posting a tread titled "Open Carry is Legal and the Lifetime License is Here to Stay" ; virtually everyone on INGO already knows. Here are the Gander threads that were posted in since the beginning of the year:

I routinely swing through Gander and check out what they have. I pay little attention to their prices. It's a good opportunity to actually hold a gun I have been eyeing. Talking to the staff is also good for comic relief if I am having a bad day. Over the years I have actually purchased three guns from Gander. I got a decent deal on all three. I have a very difficult time finding what I am looking for in local gun stores. They usually have just the common stuff and I am not interested in most of that.
