I’ve tried 3 different extended mag releases in my Gen 3 G19 and I’m having some problems
Ghost X-Mag: It was extremely stiff. I had to reposition the gun in my hand to put enough pressure on the button to release the magazine and it was slow to return.
Glockstore: There wasn’t enough room between the button and the frame to completely depress the release. The magazine was locked in place.
Hyve Industries: Same issue as the x-mag. Only difference was the x-mag returned quick enough to lock the next mag into place. The hyve release didn’t. I took a bit off the top and bottom with a file and it didn’t reduce the drag. The part is aluminum so I wouldn’t think the magazine catch spring would create enough tension to cause the issue.
I’m kind of at a loss with this one. Is this a common issue, is it possible the frame is out of spec, or is there something else I’m missing here?
