Free Canning/food preperation class

NWI Chapter of Live Free is holding a free to the public canning and food preperation class next sunday at Cabelas in Hammond.

Food preservation class. A detailed training class on canning methods. Also some information on other methods of food preservation will be discussed. This is part of the Northwest Indiana Family Preparedness Clubs Total Self-Reliance Challenge program. Particitation is free, but contributions are requested. The class will be held in the second floor conference room of Cabela's store in Hammond Indiana at 1:00 PM on Sunday August 19th. NOT SATURDAY THE 18th

My mother cans like its her job, but I have never taken much interest; but now that I can learn in a store where I can also buy and oogle my favorite toys is a great incentive.

I think LadyGhost and I will be there. I've been wanting to start canning., just haven't started. I have the canner and everything to do it, just not the experience.
