That is all the add says, so is there anyone here brave enough to send an email?

I just checked this out on the Hoosier Topics Site
Someone is using some poor persons email addy as the "respond to" place for the guns, ammo, etc.listed for sale. The person stated that the M-16 Ad is a phoney and to PLEASE stop sending him emails, because he has no such gun, and is tired of getting several hundred replies.

So, from what I was able to gather....
THIS AD IS BOGUS & PHONY - THIS GUN DOESN'T EXIST!

Did a bit of searching, seems to be a, um, "friend" of his having a little fun at his expense.

Thats right up there with taking out an ad in the classifieds listing 2 Superbowl tickets for $250, and listing a "friend's" phone number.

You can find misleading ads like this all over the place. Most of them are recruiters.

Considering that there are MANY "US Government" registered, transferable M-16's on the registry they were likely thinking somebody had a transferable M16 for sale...

I would have totally responded! I've heard 100's of people look at any AR and say it's a govt issue M16. There are way to many people out there that think all kinds of things are "Govt Issue (or Govt issue only)" that aren't. Might have gotten a free AR out of it, if it was real.

My brother-in-law's LE agency has TWO un-issued Vietnam-era M-16 rifles. They're pretty slick!
