    AR15.COM :: Forums :: MULTI caliber: Approved!

    According to this post on ARF, they are now approving at least Form4s with MULTI as the caliber. The form in this case was approved on 12-4-08.

    Given that there's no real benefit to registering it that way, and there's at least a chance it could get kicked back (seems that all the approved "MULTI" forms mentioned in that thread were approved by the same examiner), I'll continue making my forms caliber-specific.

    Now, if I had a receiver marked "Caliber MULTI" then I'd have no choice but to put that on the form, and I would expect it to be approved.

    Is it multi caliber for a suppressor? Does it involve extra parts? Or just an oversize hole to accomidate more calibers?

    The Form in Nick's post above was for a short-barreled rifle.

    While some suppressors are capable of being used with more than one caliber, I'm not aware of any that are advertised or marked as such.
