For those of you who think you're going to somehow fight it to resist a forced evacuation, good luck. You'll be up against the National Guard.

I have never understood the mentality of a forced evacuation. I'm in my house. I'm not hurting anyone. Why does the government think they know what's best for me? Whether I stay or go, it should be my decision, not the government.

And, before anyone says my staying put would be a risk to those who would later attempt to rescue me, if I wanted to be rescued I would have evacuated. Do not attempt to rescue me. What is so hard to understand? I wear a necklace that reads DNR, Do Not Resuscitate. I also have a Living Will with instructions Do Not Resuscitate. If these instructions are typically honored, why do people not understand, Do Not Rescue?

so... the guardsmen have a right to evict me from my property.. why? and how?

how do i know i'm being evacuated for my own good, and not taken to an internment camp?
The Indiana Code was posted in the thread about the explosion that sparked this thread. If the area you're living has been deemed some sort of emergency containment area or something then you don't have the option. Refusing evacuation can earn you a misdemeanor IIRC...
